Giving & Receiving Offense
If you are generally angry and irritated for no specific reason, disappointed in yourself, fuming at series of events, or anxious because you cannot seem to control your mental and attitudinal processes, then perhaps you may be dealing with offense. Being offended causes us to deny, refuse, and then distance ourselves from that which is causing us pain. Offense is sin because it leads to our wanting to go our own way. In this Plumbline, we will look at offense on two levels—mental and attitudinal sin and giving and receiving offense.
